Therapy for everyone, not just those who can afford it.
The Accessible Therapy Project is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation based in Norwich, making talking therapy affordable for adults across Norfolk and Suffolk.

We pay qualified, insured therapists to support adults who can’t afford private sessions and can’t wait months on an NHS list. People contribute what they can, or nothing at all. We also back small local groups doing great mental health work in their communities. Our approach is simple: no judgement, no long forms, and complete confidentiality.
No paid staff and no premises. Everything else goes to therapy and local groups.
Because your income shouldn't decide your mental health support.
Private therapy can cost more than a week’s food shop, and NHS waiting lists can run for months. Too many people are left choosing between paying bills and getting help. We can’t wait for government funding while people struggle, so we’re acting now.
We fund talking therapy with qualified, insured therapists for adults on low incomes, offering early support for anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and life’s big changes, before things reach crisis point.
We believe change comes from people helping each other. With donors, volunteers, therapists and local partners, we connect people who need support with the professionals who can help, and we back the small community groups already making a difference.
For adults in Norfolk and Suffolk who can't afford private support.
Small mental health charities and community groups helping people every day.
A maximum, and we aim to bring it down to 5–7% as we grow.
From a community project to a registered charity.
We started as a community project in Norwich and are now applying to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We have a written constitution, clear eligibility criteria, and data protection and safeguarding policies, so every pound is managed properly.
What we stand for
Dignity, confidentiality and fairness in everything we do.
Everyone is treated with respect, whatever their circumstances. We believe what you tell us, keep the process simple, and never share your information for marketing.
Pay what you can, or nothing at all.
We prioritise people most in need and are open about how we make decisions. Small acts of support can change someone’s life.
We’re grateful to everyone who makes this possible: our donors, volunteers and partners. True Path Coaching gives 35% of all its coaching fees to the project, and every easyfundraising sign-up helps too.
Want to help? Donate, share our page, or volunteer with us. We’re looking for a Treasurer (a trustee role) and leads for fundraising, community engagement and marketing. Email accessibletherapyproject@gmail.com to find out more.
